Nicole Akoukou Thompson is a fiction writer. In the past, she's written for Madame Noire, Latin Post, and BK United, and she's formerly a Character Education Specialist with NIA Community Services. The year before graduating from college, Nicole acted as a supervisor for a non-for-profit, Africa Resurrection, and Restoration Ministries, directing events and fundraisers, as well as creating databases by personally contacting and retrieving information from over one-hundred facilities. As a supervisor, it was also within her duties to train four underlings, teenagers, on how to create promotion kits and fliers. Also, she contributed articles to local newspapers on a monthly basis, informing the public about upcoming events. She also created the organization's website, handling both content and design. She, then, graduated from Knox College in 2010 with a Bachelors of Arts in Creative Writing and began an internship in the fall as Copy Writer/Administrative Assistant with Belas Artes, a multicultural gallery. The tenure at Belas Artes coincided with an internship at Eleven Magazine as a Music Columnist.
